This is a genuine Dyson DC27 & DC28 Total Clean Lifetime, Washable Pre-Filter, which captures larger debris from entering into the vacuum. This filter is located on the side of the machine pictured below. Also pictured below are instructions on how to wash this filter. It's VERY important that this filter is completely dry before reinstalling it into the vacuum for use.
